A Bandar Sunway office completed a 6-week interior renovation and wanted the space sanitised before staff returned. We did the entire floor — ULV mist plus high-touch wipe-down — overnight, so the team walked into a clean reset Monday morning.

Why a renovation needs sanitisation
Construction and renovation work brings in heavy dust, fine particulates and tradesperson foot-traffic from multiple sites. Even after the contractor's final clean, surfaces are coated with residue and high-touch points (door handles, light switches, taps, lift buttons) haven't been disinfected. For an office that handles client meetings, a proper sanitisation is the right transition between "construction site" and "working office".
What we proposed
The office facilities manager wanted minimal disruption — no half-day where staff couldn't enter. We proposed an overnight ULV mist disinfection for the whole floor, with a parallel hand wipe-down of all high-touch points using food-safe surface disinfectant. Start at 8 PM Friday after the cleaners finished; out by 2 AM Saturday; settling time over the weekend; office ready Monday.

The job
Two technicians worked the floor in parallel. One ran the ULV cold-mist machine systematically through meeting rooms, open-plan workstations, the pantry, restrooms and the lift lobby. The second went room-by-room with disinfectant cloths covering door handles, light switches, lift buttons, taps, urinal flush levers, pantry handles and shared keyboards/mice that the facilities team had laid out.
The certificate
After every disinfection job we provide a written service certificate listing: scope (m² covered), method (ULV + wipe), product used (MOH-approved disinfectant), technicians on site, and timestamps. The facilities manager filed it with the renovation handover documentation.
When this kind of service makes sense
- Post-construction or post-renovation handover (most common)
- After an office-wide illness outbreak (flu, hand-foot-mouth, COVID-style)
- Pre-tenancy handover for landlords or incoming tenants
- Regular weekly/monthly intervals for salons, clinics and high-footfall premises
- Pre-reopening for restaurants and cafés after extended closure
The economics of overnight scheduling
An overnight job costs about 15-20% more than the same scope during business hours — but eliminates the productivity cost of clearing the floor during work time. For most office operators that's a clear net win. We do similar overnight jobs across Sunway Hi-Tech and the SS15 office blocks regularly.
